Introducing Excess, a series of sailing catamarans introduced by Groupe Beneteau in 2019. The lineup now includes four models - the Excess 11, Excess 12, Excess 14, and Excess 15 - ranging from just under 38 ft to 49 ft.

Described as catamarans that are 'as enjoyable to live on as they are to sail,' Excess embodies a sporty character, modern design, and exceptional sailing performance that sets it apart from its well-established sister brand, Lagoon catamarans. Each catamaran in the Excess range features an increased sail area due to the mast position being further forward, and a lower center of effort with the boom positioned close to the coachroof without a flybridge. The twin helms are situated at the aft, directly connected to the rudders for an enhanced sailing experience, although visibility towards the opposite bow may be slightly compromised with this layout.

The living areas inside the Excess are quite spacious, especially in the cockpit and salon, thanks to the helms positioned towards the rear. Each aspect has been meticulously crafted to cater to the needs of sailors seeking a contemporary, roomy, and visually appealing boat that embodies the essence of sailing while also accommodating a liveaboard lifestyle.
