Sunreef Yachts is known as the world's top designer and producer of high-end sailing and power multihulls. Every individual catamaran, motor yacht, and superyacht crafted is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
The mastermind behind this successful shipyard is Francis Lapp, who serves as both Founder and President. Having discovered the city's rich history in naval construction and a skilled workforce, Francis Lapp opened a shipyard in Gdansk to pursue his passion.
In 2003, Sunreef Yachts made waves in the yachting industry by launching the world's first 74ft luxury oceangoing catamaran with a flybridge, revolutionizing the philosophy of multihull design. Francis Lapp's interest in sailing blossomed during his time in Poland, where he was introduced to small racing catamarans. This fueled his desire to own a larger cruising catamaran, which he kept in Madagascar. His love for sailing led him to start a travel agency that specialized in charters on the Indian Ocean. As the demand for larger and more comfortable catamarans increased, Francis realized the market was lacking suitable options. This inspired him to delve into building large, luxurious customized multihulls, thus establishing Sunreef Yachts.
