The Excess 11 stands out as one of the rare entry-level production catamarans, measuring just under 38 feet. This particular model is crafted to offer an appealing, cozy, and user-friendly boat that provides both ease of sailing and enjoyment of living aboard. Despite being the smallest in the Excess lineup, it accommodates four roomy cabins and two full-sized heads midship. The yacht is a spacious and comfortable vessel designed to enhance onboard comfort while maintaining excellent sailing performance. It features a large open cockpit and twin aft helms for direct connection to the rudders. The increased sail area is achieved by placing the mast further forward and having a lower boom, without a flybridge.

Designed by VPLP Design with input from Patrick le Quement and Nauta Design, the yacht has an overall length of 37.5ft (11.42m) and a beam of 21.7ft (6.59m). It has a fuel capacity of 106 gallons (400 liters), fresh water capacity of 79 gallons (300 liters), and holding tank capacity of 42 gallons (160 liters).

Powered by 2 x 29hp engines, the yacht has a mainsail area of 592ft² (55m²), upwind sail area of 829ft² (77m²), and upwind sail area in the Pulse Line of 882ft² (82m²). It also features a self-tacking jib area of 237ft² (22m²). With steering wheels, 4 cabins, and 2 bathrooms, this yacht offers a luxurious and practical sailing experience.
