RM 1180 Overview

As they say at the shipyard, the RM1180 is a champion in emotion creation. Bright looks and color, design content and excellent speed qualities make this yacht attractive for offshore yachtsmen who appreciate modern aesthetics.

Exterior and interior design.

The project was created by Marc Lombard Design Group and one of the main roles in the concept development was played by Edouard Delamare Debouttville, head of RM's engineering division.

Amenities on board

Despite the sporty nature of the RM1180, there is no shortage of space and comfort below deck. The living area is filled with natural light thanks to the panoramic deckhouse glazing and large rectangular side windows. Three cabins, a well-equipped galley and a bathroom are a good base for a comfortable cruising or racing experience.

Features

The RM1180 design is based on a combination of traditional sea plywood and epoxy resin. This provides the hull with lightness and durability. Based on the experience of building IMOCA-type offshore racing yachts, the model has a reverse stem and a wide raised stern that makes it easier to glide. The optimal sail plan allows to manage the yacht with a minimum crew.

Swimming area

The yacht is designed for ocean cruising. Based on her plans for the boat, the owner can choose between a standard, lift or twin keel. Accordingly, the RM1180 draught will vary from 1.3 to 3.2m.
