Nautor's Swan Shadow Overview

Exterior and interior design

Swan Shadow is the first motoryacht in the history of Finnish sailboat builder Nautor's Swan. As the yard's president Leonardo Ferragamo admits, they have long thought about producing a motoryacht, but put it off until they felt they were ready to give customers «something really special and unique».

The designers tried to incorporate the DNA of Nautor's elegant racing and cruising sailboats into this 13m Swan. Indeed when viewed from the side the Swan Shadow resembles a sailing yacht with a T-top instead of a mast. Three outboard engines, each capable of producing up to 350 horsepower and capable of pushing the boat to a respectable 55 knots, are responsible for the racing character.

Swan Shadow's interior design adheres to the same principles as the Swan yachts: functionality, simplicity and a premium finish.

Onboard amenities

Below deck, Swan Shadow offers a caddy cabin for two, a lavatory and stowage space. A crew stateroom can be incorporated into the bow, unprecedented in this size.

Features

The main feature of this boat is its modularity. The presence of outboard motors has not forced the designers to abandon the swim platform - it simply streamlines them. The platform can be lowered and raised, making loading and unloading of guests easier when the boat is used as a tender. Its presence also makes it possible to use the boat for water-skiing activities.

The t-top can be short or extended. Its legs are telescopicopic and the windows surrounding the control station can be retracted or extended to form a closed cockpit.

The deck is without steps, all on one level, so you can change the layout to suit your needs. All deck furniture can be rearranged in no time thanks to the bolt down system.

Sailing region

Swan Shadow is certified to sail no further than 200 miles from the shore with no more than 10 people onboard.
